Diyaluma Falls

The attractive Diyaluma Falls are the second highest in Sri Lanka at 170 m. a circuitous walk leads to the top of the falls, where it is possible to cool off in one of large natural bathing pools. The hike to the pools begins at the bottom of the falls from where it winds a few hundred metres east to the estate track that cuts through rubber plantations. Upon reaching the small rubber factory, bear left and head uphill on an indistinct and rough path. The climb takes about an hour each way. The route can be tricky to follow, so confirm the way with locals or arrange for a guide in order to stay on the right track. more
