Private Day Tour in Colombo
Colombo has a colorful history running back to fifth century. Even in the ancient times this was an important port city in East-West sea trade. Now it has bloomed in to a bustling modern city with a unique atmosphere. The glitzy hotels, restaurants and modern shopping malls attract hordes of locals and tourists alike.
The spectacular city of Colombo is a mixture of colonial and modern atmosphere. Along with colonial era mansions there are modern condos reaching the sky. Among the clogged roads there are byways lined with trees. The temple’s architecture demonstrates an eclectic mix of Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian, and Chinese architecture.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Colombo at 9 am and then proceed to Kelaniya Temple. Later, you will visit Gall Face Green and Gangarama Temple, one of the most important Buddhist temples in Sri Lanka. After the Gangarama Temple you will visit the harbor and fort areas of Colombo and also the Independence Square located just a few minutes away from the Old Parliament building. Next you will have lunch (your expense), and then it is time to go shopping.
