Overview
Colombo has a colorful history running back to fifth century. Even in the ancient times this was an important port city in East-West sea trade. Now it has bloomed in to a bustling modern city with a unique atmosphere. The glitzy hotels, restaurants and modern shopping malls attract hordes of locals and tourists alike.
The spectacular city of Colombo is a mixture of colonial and modern atmosphere. Along with colonial era mansions there are modern condos reaching the sky. Among the clogged roads there are byways lined with trees. The temple’s architecture demonstrates an eclectic mix of Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian, and Chinese architecture.
